February 21st progress.

February 24th was a gorgeous day and a milestone in the garden, as half of the 20 x 20 is now tilled.
Hopefully tomorrow the weather will break once again! Compost will be delivered with which I hope to get some quality time in on the orchard. Hopefully most of the trees which survived their first year in the ground, all but the All-in-One Almond tree, will fruit this year. The Meyer's Lemon, Parfianka Pomegranate, Craig's Crimson Cherry, and Fuji Apple were all sold as organic and two years old. While the Washington Naval Orange is only a year old. The raised bed with broccoli, cauliflower, and cilantro is doing okay for a first fall garden attempt, pictures when the rain stops.

Yesterday's weather gave us the opportunity to start the new garden plot.

The new plot will be 20 x 20. The four corners have been started in this picture.

After 4 to 5 hours of hand tilling, this is the end result of day 1. The soil really doesnt look that bad at all, not too much sand!
